Welcome to the 9th annual Britain’s Best Park competition, sponsored by lawnmower engine manufactures Briggs & Stratton.

Britain’s Best Park is an annual quest to search out the nation’s most beloved parks, and celebrate our public green spaces and those who care for them.

The competition is run in partnership with The Sun newspaper, Horticulture Week plus various other trade and consumer publications. Where park staff and members of the public have an opportunity to vote for their favourite park.

Entries for the 2009 competition have now been judged; the 2009 winner is Castle Park in Colchester, click here to view the runners up.
